~What's your name and role?
Trisha Scheidt, Broker & Auctioneer, Team Leader, Co-Owner
~Are you married, have kids, pets?
Yes, we have 3 kids. Our oldest son is 21 he is also a realtor; he has his own cattle herd and also helps us on our farms. We have two daughters who are still in school, they keep us busy with volleyball and basketball; they also have their own cattle herd; they help on the farm as well and also help us with the marketing in real estate.
~What do you love most about this community?
The support! We live in a small but mighty community; community support is very well known. Whether it be for a school event, church event, community event or a family in need. I am always amazed to see such a great place we live in.
~What is your favorite local event?
Septemberfest and ballgames
~How long have you been in real estate?
4 years
~What made you fall in love with this industry?
I have always had an interest in real estate; there are so many opportunities to help others. Being able to help clients find their perfect property or help them sell their properties brings a joy that is extremely rewarding.
~Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Helping clients with their real estate needs, making new friends along the way and living life on the farm enjoying all God’s wonderful creations along the way with my family.
~What’s your favorite type of home to sell? (Luxury, first-time buyer, fixer-upper, land)
This is a loaded question! I truly enjoy it all, I have helped numerous first time home buyers find their perfect first home. I have helped investors find that flip home to remodel. I have helped families find land to build on or grow their operation and have helped families who have outgrown their first home find a new home that fits their needs. Each one has its own uniqueness and no two are the same!
~What’s your real estate “superpower”?
Patience! Being patient and helping clients find patience through their journey of buying or selling a home. Real estate can be a stressful time, but when you are patient, everything falls right into place!
~What’s your favorite part of helping clients?
Getting to know them and their families and all the friendships made along the way!
~Funniest or most memorable showing moment?
Opening a basement door to have several birds fly out at you!
~What’s one thing people don’t realize about real estate?
How much time goes into one transaction! There is a lot more to the logistic side of real estate that no one knows.
~What area do you love serving the most?
Central Missouri! I have traveled over a good portion of Missouri helping clients, I enjoy helping them find the perfect place wherever it may be in Missouri. I especially love finding those tucked away pieces of paradise you find along the way!
~What’s your best advice for buyers or sellers right now?
Talk to a lender early, even if you are not ready to buy right now; figure out what steps you need to take to get into your perfect home, or what payments you are comfortable making. When that perfect home hits the market you want to be ready to put an offer in, not let it slip away with still needing to get your finances in order. Don’t stress to much over interest rates, they are always fluctuating and finding that home that meets your needs can be hard to do, if you are in a comfortable mortgage payment range don’t wait for those rates to drop, that perfect house will not be there when they do.
