Some people might wonder why our real estate brokerage would host a drag show. My answer is pretty simple. Why not? (And keep up, this is our 2nd annual) When we claim to support the KC community that does not mean we only show up for the parts that are convenient or quiet. Some members of our community deserve to be lifted up and celebrated now more than ever.

I still remember sitting in D’Bronx when my daughter was tiny and she started pointing at someone who looked different. Instead of scolding her, I told her something that became a family mantra. Different is beautiful. We should be celebrating everyone regardless of their gender or religion or disability or sexual orientation or race. Even now if you walk up to my kids and say Different is... they will probably roll their eyes and finish the sentence with a very annoyed “Beautiful.”

There is always that pressure as a small business owner to teeter on the fence so you do not scare off potential clients. I would be lying if I said the thought never crossed my mind. But honestly our business is going to stay loud and proud of our agents and the people who make this city what it is.

Kansas City is different and beautiful all at once. We really would not have it any other way 🏳️‍🌈❤️🏳️‍⚧️
