WATCH: Our Flipped House Nightmare at 10212 Belmont Ave, KCMO! 😱

We purchased a home that was supposedly "fully renovated" or "rehabbed" from SunWest Properties Missouri LLC in April 2024. Since then, we have discovered significant issues concerning the quality of the renovations and misleading statements on the Seller's Disclosure document.
Sun West Properties (whose member is Travis Abbott) claimed they made no substantial modifications and were not required to pull permits. However, our findings show extensive, undisclosed work, including converting a dining room into an additional bedroom/bathroom, improperly installed plumbing leading to leaks and water damage, two significant holes in the roof that were not noted in the inspection report, and a disconnected HVAC system. We are actively gathering information, believing Sun West Properties has engaged in a pattern of fraudulent behavior as they continue to buy and flip properties in Missouri.

The Missouri Real Estate Commission permanently revoked the licenses of Daniel C. Haas and Kansas City Management Solutions, LLC and fined Lindsey Haas $500 after finding they mishandled client funds, failed to provide owner statements, ignored Commission inquiries, used unlicensed individuals for real estate transactions, and allowed Lindsey Haas to perform real estate activities without a license. The Haas parties admitted to all violations, citing COVID-related disruptions and health issues, and waived their right to hearings. The settlement, signed in September 2025, is a binding public disciplinary order.
