Exciting news for the old JoAnn building off Barry
Here’s What’s Going Into the Former Jo-Ann on Barry
--In 2025, fabric outlet Jo-Ann Stores shuttered the last of its 800 fabric and craft stores after failing to find a buyer.
--Now a new tenant will take its former northland location at 2201 NW Barry Road.
--Tractor Supply Co. plans a soft opening in early October with a grand opening later that month.
--Described as a rural lifestyle retail chain, it sells agricultural and livestock, supplies including feed, pet food and accessories, truck and automotive equipment, lawn and garden supplies, sporting goods, power tools, workwear, and more.
--It also will have a pet wash

---History: Charles Schmidt Sr. started the company as a mail-order tractor parts business from the kitchen table of his Chicago home. By 1940, it had grown into a successful retail store.
---Now there are 2,395 Tractor Supply stores in 49 states.
