Okay, I HAVE to tell you about my new favorite spot in Bronxville. 🍷

La Chitarra is a fairly recently opened concept right in the heart of the village that I can’t stop talking about! The co-owner Randall Restiano spent the last 25 years building one of the most impressive wine careers in the country. From l’Impero with Scott Conant, to helping Eli Zabar build one of NYC’s greatest wine collections, to serving as Beverage Director at Gramercy Tavern with Chef Michael Anthony. He came home to Bronxville where his career literally started at Il Bacio 25 years ago to build something of his own. And it shows in every single detail.

You walk through the Bacione Pasta Shop into this intimate, cozy dining room with soaring ceilings and a breathtaking wine display. Over 100 bottles from around the world, and Randall will personally guide you to the perfect pairing. Chef John Poiarkoff is in the kitchen turning out fresh pasta that is genuinely unforgettable. Pappardelle with Maine crab and lobster, Cavatelli in a ragu bianco that I’m still thinking about, and a blood orange tiramisu for dessert that I need you to try immediately.

This is exactly the kind of place that makes Bronxville, Bronxville.

And if you’re wondering whether this village is worth the investment, the market says yes loudly. Median sale price hit $2,495,000 in Q1 2026, up 28% year over year. Inventory is shrinking, demand is growing, and homes are selling at 104% of list price. The lifestyle here is unmatched and buyers know it.

Buying in Westchester takes planning

If you’re planning to trade city life for more space and peace in 2026, here’s what you should be doing now if you want to buy before the end of the year ↓

Many buyers think the home search starts when they’re ready to tour homes. That’s far from the truth. The more planning you do upfront, the smoother and less stressful your search will be.

Step 1: Connect with a local agent early to understand the market, what to expect during the search, and to map out budgets based on estimated costs to close. This is also when you begin building a realistic timeline and strategy specific to the Westchester County market. A good agent will guide you through each of the following steps so you feel confident when it’s time to start looking.

Step 2: Get crystal clear on your non-negotiables vs. nice-to-haves (location, commute, budget, school districts, lifestyle). Start exploring areas you may be unfamiliar with by attending open houses or driving through neighborhoods, schools, and town centers.

Step 3: Review your finances early — savings, down payment options, estimated closing costs, and your monthly comfort range. Your agent can help you think through how to allocate for each.

Step 4: Understand your timing (lease end, sale of a current home, and overall flexibility).

Step 5: Your agent can help connect you with a reputable local lender so you can get pre-approved before starting your search. Ideally, you should give yourself at least six months to look for homes to give yourself the best chance of success in a competitive market.

Planning ahead is what turns a stressful process into a smooth one.

This year was filled with meaningful work, big milestones, and moments I don’t take lightly. Behind every number here is a real person, a real decision, and a meaningful chapter of life I was trusted to help guide.

I’m incredibly grateful to every client who chose to work with me, every referral who passed my name along, and everyone here who followed, shared, messaged, or supported my work in any way. Your trust is what made this year possible.

From helping clients and families find their next home or move on to their next chapter, to growing this community, to a year that also included getting married and renovating our first Westchester home, still very much a work in progress, this year will always stand out.

I’m looking forward to continuing to work with clients continuing their home buying search and guiding clients who are preparing to sell. I am starting the year off strong and excited for what’s ahead.

A little slice of Greece right here in Westchester 🇬🇷

is a much-needed addition to the local food scene…think your favorite NYC Greek spots, but without the train ride. The decor is stunning, the bar is fully stocked, and the cocktails are chef’s kiss.

Start with the zucchini chips & dip trio (trust me) and go for the branzino or lamb chops for your main…but honestly you can’t go wrong.

Perfect for date night or a fun group dinner. Let me know if you try it and what you think!
