Okay Katy, let's talk about the elephant on the highway. If you've hit 99 between I-10 and Morton at rush hour lately, you already know the cones are not visiting. They are MOVING IN, and they signed a four year lease.

So I did what I do. I read every TxDOT plan and county announcement so you don't have to, and I wrote down the 7 things that actually matter: when your commute gets its third lane, the toll-free route that's coming (yes, FREE), which neighborhoods get sound walls, what's finally being done about people treating 99 like a racetrack, and what four years of construction does to home values around here.
