What a beautiful surprise to receive.

I’m honored to be nominated as a 2026 IAHSP Best of the Best Trifecta Nominee.

Over the years, Infinite Possibilities has continued to grow and evolve, but the heart behind my work has remained the same: creating thoughtful spaces, caring deeply for the people I serve, and always pushing myself creatively.

Recognition like this means so much because it reflects not just the finished spaces, but the work, relationships, and intention behind them.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted me, referred me, encouraged me, or simply followed along. I’m incredibly grateful.

One of the things I loved about this room was the way it could become a place to actually gather.

Instead of treating the living room like a space that simply needed to be filled with furniture, I wanted the seating to feel connected. A sofa you could stretch out on. Chairs pulled into the conversation. A coffee table at the center. And the fireplace still very much a part of the room.

It photographs beautifully, but when I look at this space, I don't just see a pretty picture. I can imagine people sitting here talking, someone curled up on the sofa, or everyone gathering in the living room after dinner.

And that's really the difference between a home that simply looks beautiful and one that feels good to live in.

Your home doesn't need to look like a showroom.

It needs to feel beautiful and work for the people who live there.

That might mean a beautiful dining room that actually gets used.
A family room with fabrics that can handle real life.
A kitchen designed around the way you cook and gather.
Or a bedroom that feels like a retreat at the end of a long day.

The best design doesn't just look beautiful in a photograph. It feels as good as it looks to the people who call it home.

It's the home that makes you think:

“This feels like us.”

Not every room tells you immediately what it needs.

In the Fig House living room, the fireplace was already the focal point. The stone brought together several colors, textures and undertones, while the dark hearth, warm wood and existing architectural details added even more to consider.

Rather than trying to force the room into a particular look, I let those existing elements become part of the conversation.

That's often how the design process begins.

Not with every answer already decided, but with paying attention to what's there, understanding what needs to stay, and determining what should come next.

And the same is true for the homeowner.

One of the biggest misconceptions about hiring an interior designer?

That you need to know exactly what you want first.

You don't.

You can come to me with:
"I know I want something different."
"I know I don't like my current furniture."
"I love these rooms, but I don't know why."
"I have no idea what my style is."

That's okay.

Part of my job is asking the right questions, looking for patterns, and turning all of that information into a cohesive design direction.

You don't hire a designer because you already know how to design your home.

You hire one because you don't want to figure it all out yourself.

Sometimes the direction for a space reveals itself in unexpected ways.

When I first saw the Fig House, it already felt charming and welcoming. I initially imagined working with earth tones, but I kept finding myself drawn to shades of blush and deep cranberry instead.

It wasn't until later that the homeowner mentioned the paint throughout the home actually had blush undertones. Without realizing it, I had been responding to something that was already there.

For the final styling, I had envisioned incorporating figs and pomegranates, their rich colors and organic shapes feeling like a natural extension of the palette. But as styling day approached, I hadn't been able to find either.

Then the homeowner casually mentioned there was a fig tree in the backyard.

A fig tree?!

I had no idea it was there.

And just when I thought that coincidence couldn't get any better, I learned there was a pomegranate tree, too.

Somehow, the very elements I had envisioned bringing into the interiors had been growing just outside all along.

The figs you see in the final photographs were picked directly from the property, creating a connection between the home and the styling that I never could have planned.

Sometimes the most meaningful details aren't introduced into a space.

They're discovered within it.

Maybe you've been saving inspiration for years.

Maybe you've started and stopped a dozen decorating projects.

Maybe your home looks nice, but it doesn't quite feel like you.

I’ll take character over perfect almost every time.

There’s something about a piece that feels like it has lived a life before it has ever entered the room.

The worn wood. The aged finish. The imperfections you couldn’t recreate quite the same way if you tried.

I love beautiful new things, but I never want a home to feel like everything arrived on the same truck, from the same showroom, on the same day.

Give me something old beside something new. Something refined next to something a little weathered. That tension is often what gives a room its character.

Because a beautiful home doesn’t have to feel precious.

It should feel collected.

Before the finished room, there’s this.

The moving. The adjusting. The stepping back to look, then moving it again. The tiny details that probably wouldn’t mean much on their own, but together change the way a room feels.

This is one of my favorite parts of what I do.

I can walk into a space and immediately start imagining what it could be. Sometimes that means rethinking the entire room. Sometimes it’s as simple as the placement of a chair, the way a textile falls, or the one thing that’s been missing all along.

I’m constantly paying attention to visual weight when I’m working in a space. A piece can be beautiful on its own and still feel wrong in the room because of its size, shape, color, texture, or even where your eye lands when you walk in.

There are plenty of times when I’ll bring something into a room, step back, look at the balance of the entire space...and decide not to use it at all.

You usually see the finished spaces here.

But there’s a whole lot of me moving things around behind the scenes before we ever get there.

Morning at Shelby Park.

Sunlight through the windows, something warm in your cup, and nowhere you need to be for just a little while.

There are rooms designed for occasions. And then there are the corners of home that quietly become part of your routine.

This feels like one of them.

I’m always thinking about how life will actually be lived in a home.

Not just how a kitchen will look when everything is perfectly put away, but the mornings at the island, flowers being trimmed at the sink, groceries coming home from the market, and dinner being prepared while everyone seems to find their way into the kitchen.

That was the story I wanted to tell here.

The beautiful arched window and natural light gave this kitchen so much character, and I wanted everything I brought in to feel connected to the way someone might actually experience the space. Fresh hydrangeas by the sink. Fruit and oats for breakfast. Fennel, cabbage and garlic gathered on the island waiting for dinner.

Because when I’m designing or styling a home, I’m not only thinking about what will look beautiful.

I’m thinking about the life that will happen there.
