Are you ready for hurricane season? Here are some helpful tips to prepare:
- Make sure you have at least 3 days of food and water
- Gather a first aid kit and extra medications
- Keep these items handy: flashlight, battery operated radio, manual can opener, matches, candles, paper plates and utensils, cash and coins
- Stock up on soap, toilet paper, shampoo, personal sanitary items, garbage bags, disinfectants, and bleach
- Stock up on baby needs like diapers, formula, blankets, etc
- Make sure you have pet food, medication, leashes, pet carrier, vet info, etc
- Put important docs in a waterproof pouch (birth certs, marriage certs, SSN cards, deeds, insurance policies, etc
- Have books, crosswords, board games handy to keep kids occupied
- Stay safe and prepared, everyone!
