This was my first Susan G Komen Breast Cancer walk as a SURVIVOR! There were so many emotions wrapped up in that morning.

This time last year I was transitioning from chemotherapy to radiation. I was weak and tired out easily. Breathing was hard. This year, I put on my survivor shirt and completed the 5k as a testimony of hope to others. Celebrating every step of the way!

I’ve survived an aggressive form of breast cancer thanks in part to the research and cutting edge treatments that come as a result of fundraising events like this one. I have so much to be thankful for! 🩷

I’ve always believed the best part of being a Realtor has very little to do with opening doors. 🤍

It’s knowing who to call when something goes sideways.
It’s noticing the things you may not know to look for.
It’s understanding that the prettiest house isn’t always the right house. It’s knowing the neighborhoods, the market, and sometimes what’s coming before it ever hits your Zillow feed.

And yes… it’s negotiating hard when you’d really rather be thinking about literally anything other than inspection reports and contract deadlines. 😂

After 10+ years in real estate, I’ve built a pretty deep bench of people, knowledge and experience—and my clients get access to all of it.

And that doesn’t end at the closing table. Need a painter two years later? Wondering what your house might be worth? Thinking about remodeling and want to know if it makes sense for resale? Text me. I genuinely love being the person my clients call for all the random house stuff long after I hand over the keys.

One of the things I’ve learned in this business is that relationships with great Realtors outside of your own market matter.

Today we invited Carolyn, a Realtor who serves Destin, 30A and Panama City Beach, to join us for a little pickleball. We laughed, we sweated (a LOT 😂), and somewhere between serves and questionable shots, we talked real estate and what we’re each seeing in our local markets.

Why does that matter?

Because my clients don’t always stay in Houston. They buy vacation homes. They invest. They relocate. Their kids move. Their parents move. And when that happens, I want to be able to say, “I know someone I trust.”

Building relationships with great agents in other markets means I can connect my clients, friends and family with people I actually know—not just a name I found online.

And if your next move happens to involve the Florida Panhandle… I know a girl. 😉🌴🏡

Good relationships make for good business—and apparently a pretty fun pickleball game, too. 🏓☀️
