Back-to-school season can be exciting, busy, and sometimes a little chaotic. Our annual Back to School Drive is one small way we can make it a little easier for the families who call our communities home.

A parking lot might seem like a small detail—until it’s the one you pull into every day.

We recently resealed the parking lot at this community, giving it a cleaner look, a smoother surface, and extending the life of the pavement for years to come.

It’s one of many ways we continue reinvesting in our communities. Because taking care of where our residents live means paying attention to the details—from the homes themselves to everything that surrounds them.

We had a great time bringing residents together at The Club at Oak Creek for an afternoon of bouquet making, sweet treats, and plenty of good vibes.

UPDATE! 🚨

Five months ago, we took over the community now known as Parkway Collective—and we hit the ground running.

Within the first week, we completed our first fully renovated home. Since then, we haven’t slowed down. As of August 7, we’ve officially renovated 144 homes across the community. ✅

Within 90 days of takeover, the community had a new name, a new look, and a new identity—all unveiled at our biggest kickoff celebration to date. ✅

Most recently, we took another major step in improving the resident experience with the opening of our new Wellness Wing, featuring a brand-new gym, locker room, sauna, completely renovated bathrooms, and 24/7 access for residents. ✅

A lot can change in five months when you move with purpose.

It's easy to think the hardest part is over once the debris is cleared from the streets. But for many families, that's when the real work begins. Insurance claims, contractor waitlists, temporary housing, and replacing clothing, furniture, appliances, and everyday essentials are challenges many will face for months to come.

While repairing a single home damaged by a fallen tree can take months, recovering from a disaster that impacts an entire community takes even longer. That's why Redefining Futures Foundation and Focus remain committed to helping long after the news cameras are gone. Because when the headlines fade, families are still rebuilding their homes, their routines, and their lives.

Together, we're providing emergency assistance, essential household items, and helping connect displaced families with temporary and permanent housing as they take the next steps toward recovery. When we first took over this community, this space was just an empty patch of grass with untapped potential. We knew it had the potential to become something families could truly enjoy.

Today, that space has been transformed into a brand-new playground, Gazebo and grill station that adds life, character, and another reason to love calling this community home.

Today, we're proud to showcase Focus Cares, an initiative dedicated to helping residents in our communities who are facing difficult circumstances.

Through nominations from our legal team, we're able to step in when we can and make a meaningful difference.

We had the opportunity to provide school supplies for both of her children, helping them start the school year with confidence and one less thing to worry about.

It's a simple gesture, but sometimes the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest impact. 💙

The cleanup crews have done an incredible job clearing the storm's aftermath, but many Menasha families are still living with its impact. As they continue to rebuild, we're committed to making sure they don't have to do it alone.

Through our partnership with Focus Property Management, the Redefining Futures Foundation is continuing to provide emergency assistance to individuals and families affected by the storms. While the fallen trees and debris may be gone, the need for support remains.

Together, we're helping by providing:
• Grocery assistance and essential household items
• Clothing and other basic necessities
• Emergency support based on each family's individual needs
• Connections to temporary and permanent housing through Focus

The Redefining Futures Foundation Board has approved up to $10,000 in emergency relief funding for Menasha residents, with requests being reviewed regularly so assistance can reach families as quickly as possible.

If you or someone you know has been displaced or is in need of housing assistance, please contact Focus Property Management directly at 920-413-1471. Their team is ready to help connect families with safe housing and additional resources.
