Long live the days where rent was $300 for a 2 bed 1 bath in Salt Lake City.
This was our apartment when my parents migrated from Samoa, to California, to our permanent residence, Salt Lake City UT! There were 7 kids, plus my parents in this tiny apartment. Unfortunately, we were evicted because the noise level was too much for the neighbors, and our landlord had enough of us!
I’m grateful my parents were able to save up in this apartment. Even though we lived with relatives for a few months after our eviction until they purchased their home, it was the determination, discipline, and resilience for the vision my parents had for HOMEOWNERSHIP!
