The CEO for Toll Bros. Homes recently stated that new home sales account for roughly 35% of all home sales, versus the norm which is around 10 to 15 percent. Why is this? He further stated that the majority of current homeowners have a mortgage in the 3% range and do not want to surrender that rate for the current market rate in the mid-6 percent range. It is just as important, when considering a new home purchase, to have solid realtor representation. From negotiation through inspections and closing, don't go it alone.
