I may not always be the first one called out to find the source of an issue but I am usually the last. I found the source of a sewer odor that has plagued this townhouse since it was built 20 years ago. There was an issue with the drain below the laundry and repairs were made. Upon completion of the repairs floor leveler was poured to repair the concrete. When this was done the drain cover which was taped was also covered with concrete. As the tape broke down sewer gas entered the home permeating the basement. To make it even more difficult to locate a wax ring on the basement toilet was improperly installed also leaking sewer gas.
