There’s a perception that out-of-state buyers are buying up most of Maine.
But in 2025:
• 10,746 buyers were from Maine
• 1,156 buyers were from Massachusetts
Local buyers still make up the majority of purchases. Although, Maine does still rank 7th in the country for net migration.
