This one was one for the books! Got Lacey Oglesby’s house under contract and helped her find a new one. We were thrown several curve balls throughout the process but made it to the closing table! 🎉

Some closings hold more emotions than others. You see, back in high school, me and this girl didn’t really like each other. Over the years we realized we’re more alike than we thought and have kept up with one another. They had their first beautiful baby around the same time Rhett was born, so we had all the pregnancy and parenthood talks. (Looking forward to many more!)

They reached out last year with some questions about the process and we’ve been working toward this for about a year or so. Several weeks ago, we went to look at homes on a Saturday and they had their sweet boy with them. The first house we looked at, their son refused to let them put him down, was fussy, and just overall on edge. I talked them into going to see a second house they’d been eyeing for a couple months.

Immediately upon walking in, the baby started walking around, playing, talking, TOTALLY different child. This was truly a meant to be situation!

I’m so proud of the sweet family yall have built and so blessed that you chose me to help you through this process. These are the closings that make it all worth it. 💙

Selling your home can be an emotional process, but remember it's also a business transaction! Don't take feedback personally and keep your eye on the prize.
As a real estate agent, I know that putting your house on the market can feel overwhelming. It opens up your home to scrutiny from potential buyers and their agents. But don't let that discourage you! Embrace this best practice: do not take feedback personally.
It's natural to feel emotionally attached to your home, after all, it holds precious memories. However, when selling, it's important to keep a business mindset. This means separating your emotions from the transaction and staying focused on the end goal: selling your home for the best price.
Don't let feedback about your home's flaws discourage you. Instead, use it as an opportunity to make improvements that will ultimately benefit you in the long run.
