One of the biggest misconceptions I see is buyers thinking representation is only about getting access to homes or writing paperwork.

But good representation is really about guidance, strategy, protection, and having someone in your corner throughout one of the biggest financial decisions you’ll make.

A recent transaction was a reminder that even when everyone is acting in good faith, issues can still come up. Having your own representation means having someone there to help you navigate those moments, understand your options, and advocate for your interests along the way.

There’s a reason representation exists on both sides of a transaction — and it benefits everyone involved.

Last week, we laid my grandpa to rest at Arlington National Cemetery. It was one of those beautiful sunny days in the DC area where everything felt still for just a moment — surrounded by family, stories, memories, and reflection.

I also couldn’t help but reflect on how fortunate I’ve been to have all four of my grandparents for 32 years of my life, something I know is incredibly rare and a gift.

My grandpa’s life’s work was dedicated to making our country a safer place for all of us. And that deserves honor.

Now he rests among those who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country — a place filled with history, service, and remembrance.

Some homes carry more than just square footage — they carry decades of memories, milestones, and life lived well. 🤍

I first met these sellers back in December as they began planning for their next chapter: retirement after spending several decades in the home they lovingly cared for.
