π’ A Friendly Message to the Gentleman Driving the Blue Chevy 1500 π’
To the gentleman who turned off North Cleveland Street onto Canal Drive, made a quick stop through the coffee shop next door, and then decided our dumpster area was the perfect retirement home for what appears to be a beautiful vintage 1960s couch...
We'd like to kindly ask that you come back and pick it up.
Unfortunately, Waste Management considers couches a bulky item and can charge up to $250 for disposal. As much as we'd love to add a retro furniture section to iPhone BLVD, that's not really our business model.
Now, before you think this is one of those "how would they ever know?" situations, we'd like to point out a few things:
You entered a technology store parking lot.
We promise we have your license plate.
In fact, your license plate was facing directly toward our business when you stopped.
There are more than 30 cameras on this property. When you drove around the building, multiple cameras captured your truck, your trailer, your passenger, your dog, and yes... even the couch.
To be honest, your dog may have gotten more camera time than anyone else.
The good news is we're not looking to make this a big deal.
We really don't want to be the people who turn you in. We'd rather believe this was a lapse in judgment than intentional illegal dumping.
For reference, illegal dumping can carry fines ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, and we'd much rather see you spend that money on something more enjoyable than a citation.
So here's our offer:
Come pick up the couch.
Take it to the dump, take it home, donate it, turn it into a conversation pieceβwhatever you'd like.
If you stop by, we'll even give your dog a treat for being such a good passenger. Maybe grab a coffee next door while you're here.
No harm.
No foul.
No reports.
No headaches.
Just one less couch sitting next to our dumpster.
We'd appreciate your cooperation and hope to see you soon.
