Dolly Parton was a legend, one of the best musicians of all time, and a true humanitarian. She never forgot where she came from, never pretended to be someone she wasn’t, never compromised her values, her faith, or beliefs. She loved people for who they were regardless of how much the same or different from her they happened to be, and encouraged everyone to seek kindness and caring above all else. She inspired people of all backgrounds through her music and the way she lived her life.

Dolly was proof that it doesn’t matter where your life starts out, if you follow your dreams, work hard, and look for opportunities you can become the most successful person, all while remembering your roots and staying true to yourself. She embodied what it means to be kind and compassionate toward others, never judging someone who lived or believed differently than she did, instead seeking understanding and common ground rather than focusing on differences.
May we all take a lesson from her and seek to live our lives in a way where we strive to be our absolute best, inspire others, spread kindness, give generously, seek common ground rather than being divisive, and stay true to our faith and beliefs no matter what they are and no matter how successful we become. 
RIP Dolly Parton- my childhood memories are filled with your music and movies, my heart and soul inspired by your kindness and generosity. You made the world a better place and will be greatly missed!
