Join us in Downtown Kennewick to support local food businesses this Saturday.
Hello Red Mountain Kitchen Followers,
We are dedicated to fostering a community that values and supports locally produced food. With this objective, Red Mountain Kitchen was established as a commissary for numerous small businesses. To date, we have seen at least six businesses launch from RMK and successfully open their own brick-and-mortar establishments.
Another longstanding goal has been to address food insecurity within our community. After six years in operation, we were pleased to introduce a monthly free Community Meal earlier this year, held on the last Wednesday of each month in collaboration with Black Apron WA (Chef Randy McNiven).
This weekend presents an exciting opportunity to combine our commitment to nourishing the community and promoting small businesses—not only those utilizing RMK’s commissary services but also several other local food establishments in Downtown Kennewick.
On Saturday, August 2, beginning at 11:00am, RMK will host three food vendors offering complimentary options: Dash’s Chicken Wings and Baby J’s BBQ will serve indoors, while El Fat Cat Grill will provide tacos from their location on the street in front of our building for the “Feed Our People” initiative.
Our mission over the past 6-1/2 years has been to support and strengthen neighborhood food businesses, not compete against them on their busiest days. We invite you to enjoy complimentary food, explore Downtown Kennewick, and, importantly, support our neighboring businesses—Hot Mess Burgers and Fries, Blossom Coffee Shop, Rockabilly Roasters, Picante Mexican Taqueria, Layered Cake Artistry, Blackthorne Pub, Mama Jo’s Ice Cream (inside Gathered Home), Urban Grounds, and Rise and Shine Bake Shop. These businesses, owned and managed by members of our downtown community, rely on your patronage for their success. Their dedication has been instrumental in revitalizing Downtown Kennewick.
We look forward to having you join us.
