Diversity. Equity. Inclusion. They matter. As a member of the Washington Realtors DEI Committee, I've been part of the effort statewide to keep Fair Housing standards alive and constantly adapting to include all. Today I recieved my DEI pin to commemorate and showcase the extra effort and education hours I've been putting in to keep learning and working towards making sure everyone matters. Always.

I just can't stress the benefit of having a home warranty enough! Especially if you have an older home like I do. They look expensive but they pay for themselves in one repair usually. For example I have a policy personally through American Home Shield. I pay $60 a month which ends up being about $700 annually. I've already used them three times this year and it's already paid for itself twice over. It's paying for itself again a third time over with some plumbing issues that I've had in the house that would cost me $1,000 out of pocket, but through American Home Shield I'm only spending $100 on a service call.

This is simply adorable!

Welcome "F" House - the newest addition to the Alphabet Homes Village. The mini homes are replicas of the government-built homes brought to Richland in the 1940s; more commonly known as the Alphabet Homes and are on display at John Dam Plaza as part of the Winter Wonderland production. They have been reconstructed at a smaller scale and decorated to give our guests a glimpse of what these homes may have looked like during the early days of our government-era town. We love sharing this history with all and seems so fitting to do so during the holiday season. Enjoy!

Yet more proof that "zestimates" are not to be trusted. Computer algorithms set around a national database can never take into effect the 100s of variables that can alter a housing market from day to day, each of which is unique from neighborhood to neighborhood.

The digital real estate marketplace Zillow bought way too many homes and is now selling some of them at cut-rate prices.
