Why you need a realtor / why you shouldn't trust Zillow. This is a graph of a Kenosha home's "Zestimate". The home hovers in the low $300k's until it is listed for sale for over $400k. Then suddenly the Zestimate jumps $100k. Do you think the value of the home went up $100k that day or that Zillow is heavily influenced by outside factors? You want to know what your home is actually worth? Ask me. Ask a friend/family member who is a realtor. Do not get all of your real estate information from Zillow. It does you a disservice.

While homes are moving more quickly in southeast Wisconsin than they are in some parts of the country, the trend is the same. Homes aren't moving quite as quickly. If you're a potential buyer who didn't like the madness of competing, now might be a good time to start looking again.
