This Women’s History month I want to honor a young woman who continues to not let circumstance dictate her destiny. She doesn’t let what society says to young people color her perspective on what is important. Our young people are growing up at a different time when comparison is the name of the game; social media is the influencer, and it has a habit of telling people what they should be doing. But this young woman is focused on what is in front of her, and not what someone else has framed as the thing she should aspire to.
Niaya Aaron is a broker in my brokerage, and my daughter 😉, and I am so very proud of her. I never mandated that my girls come work in the industry I chose; I wanted them to blaze their own path which may not have been the one that was best for me. But Niaya found her way to real estate on her own terms, and she has worked hard to know her craft. She understands that you must be a student of whatever work you find yourself in, and push through when times are hard. She is a recent new mom, and she didn’t miss a beat, after a responsible amount of time to rest and bond with her baby. She hustles, she is focused and she cares. So, this is my I SEE YOU to my eldest daughter, Niaya Aaron. Happy Women’s History Month and I love you! 💜
