Today marks the anniversary of the passing of Debby Shufflebarger, founder of The Real Estate Shoppe.
When Debby was in the office, it was just the two of us working side by side. I had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the passion, determination, and care she brought to her work every day. She built The Real Estate Shoppe with a vision of helping people and serving her community, and that legacy continues today.
But Debbys impact reached far beyond real estate. As a member of the Kentland Town Board, she devoted countless hours to improving our community and helping shape the future of the town she loved. She believed in giving back, getting involved, and making Kentland a better place for the people who called it home.
Whether she was serving clients, attending meetings, supporting local initiatives, or advocating for the community, Debby led with commitment, integrity, and a genuine desire to help others.
The Real Estate Shoppe exists today because of her vision, hard work, and belief in building strong relationships. The community we serve is stronger because of her dedication and service.
Today, I remember Debby with gratitude, respect, and appreciation for all she contributed—not only to this business, but to the Town of Kentland and the people who live here.
Her legacy lives on in the homes we help people find, the relationships we build, and the community she cared so deeply about.
