22R | Development Sequence Matters
Big ideas only work when the pieces around them work, too.
We started in Wanamaker with the master plan — a vision for a new Main Street anchored by a civic plaza and a stronger village entrance.
While that main anchor is underway (and we’re pushing the paper), we’re not waiting.
We’re working on the opposite anchor at the Wheatley’s building. And while that moves through permitting, we’re touching the edges — identifying existing buildings where relatively focused improvements can strengthen the entire district. We’re creating the vision, and helping sell it.
This week, we’re kicking off our third commercial project in Wanamaker: building evaluation → design → construction.
It may be a smaller piece of the plan, but it matters.
Because revitalization is a puzzle. The civic plaza needs the businesses around it to succeed. The Wheatley’s building needs a stronger Main Street. And every improved storefront makes the next investment a little easier to imagine.
That’s how the big idea starts to ripple through a village.
One piece at a time. 🧩
