Meet the Office Monday: Andrew Welgat - Arrow Real Estate
Andrew is a true hometown hero. A Kewanee High School grad, Andrew serves the community as a full-time Kewanee Firefighter. He lives in Kewanee with his amazing wife, Kelsi, and their two beautiful children, Brinleigh and Henry. Andrew brings dedication, heart, and hometown pride to everything he does—on the job and in real estate. We’re proud to have him on the Arrow team!
What’s your favorite part about helping someone find their home?
- My favorite part of helping find someone’s home is the showings. Listening to what they like and don’t like about homes gives me valuable insight to what they are searching for in a home. Seeing their faces when you know they found the one is an awesome feeling.
What’s your go-to advice for first-time homebuyers?
- Your first home will likely not be your “Forever Home.” Try and prioritize your needs over wants instead of searching for perfection.
What’s your favorite local business or hidden gem in our town?
- Cerno’s Bar and Grill for a meal, The Daily Fix for a pick-me-up.
What’s your go-to karaoke song (even if it’s only in the car)?
- Beer Never Broke my Heart by Luke Combs and Friends in Low Places by Garth Brooks, always crowd favorites!
What’s the first thing you do when you get home after a long day?
- After a 24 hour shift at the firehouse, the first thing I do when I get home is hug and kiss my wife and kids, then take a much needed shower!
