Who’s Really Driving Today’s Housing Market?

📉 Pending Home Sales Dip Again, But Market Poised for Rebound
Pending home sales slipped by 0.8% in June and are down 2.8% compared to the same time last year. Lawrence Yun, chief economist at NAR, notes that home prices continue to rise even as transaction volume remains soft. Yun predicts that once mortgage rates ease toward the 6% range, this additional inventory will be quickly absorbed. He also points out an important perspective: the U.S. has 7 million more jobs today than it did in 2019, yet home sales are still running 25% below pre-pandemic levels. Sellers act strategically,pricing right and preparing homes to show well, for strong results.
