If you’re buying waterfront in the Florida Keys, don’t stop at “deep water.” 🚤
Yes, controlling depth is incredibly important — but it’s only one piece of the equation.
You also need to consider your boat’s air draft, the vertical clearance of bridges, tides, and your entire route from the property to open water.
You can have plenty of depth behind your house and still have a problem if your boat can’t physically make it under the bridge.
That’s why when I’m helping a waterfront buyer, I’m not just looking at the house and the canal. I’m looking at how you actually get from the property to where you want to go.
Because in the Florida Keys, “waterfront” doesn’t always mean boat accessible.
