MAUI LOOKS LITTLE DIFFERENT THIS MORNING. 🌴

That sky tells you something is going on.

Hurricane Nolo is passing south of the Hawaiian Islands, and while the forecast has improved for Maui, the island is still under a Tropical Storm Watch, Flood Watch and High Surf Advisory.

East Maui has the greatest potential for rainfall impacts, and the County is continuing to monitor conditions closely.

Emergency shelters are on standby if they’re needed.

If you’re on Maui today, this is one of those mornings to pay attention to the weather, avoid unnecessary travel in areas experiencing flooding or hazardous conditions, and follow official updates.

I pulled the August 2026 median sales prices for single-family homes and condos so you can see the difference at a glance.

SF: $5.6M | Condo: $4.8M

📍 Kāʻanapali
SF: $2.4M | Condo: $1.075M

📍 Kīhei
SF: $1.4M | Condo: $710K

📍 Wailuku
SF: $949K | Condo: $527,875

And that’s just part of the story.
