This is why I love my job!
Today was home inspection day for my Buyers who are in escrow on an 8 acre, Off-Grid (Photo-Voltaic (PV) panels and Rainwater Catchment system), self-sustaining farm out in East Maui.
Mesmerizing views of the Big Island of Hawai’i (Mauna Kea & Mauna Loa) across the ʻAlenuihāhā Channel.
Abundance of ‘ulu (breadfruit), banana, mango, avocado, egg fruit, lime, tangerine, to name just a few.
Ideal temps & humidity, Tradewinds blowing in extra clean air . . . made it a perfect day to slow down and smell the plumeria!

Majestic Haleakalā basks in a glorious evening Alpenglow effect.

“Alpenglow (from German: Alpenglühen ‘'Alps glow'); is an optical phenomenon that appears as a horizontal reddish glow near the horizon opposite to the Sun when the solar disk is just below the horizon.”

“Alpenglow refers to indirect sunlight reflected or diffracted by the atmosphere after sunset or before sunrise. This diffuse illumination creates soft shadows in addition to the reddish color.”

“When the Sun is below the horizon, sunlight has no direct path to reach a mountain. Unlike the direct sunlight around sunrise or sunset, the light that causes alpenglow is reflected off airborne precipitation, ice crystals, or particulates in the lower atmosphere. These conditions differentiate between direct sunlight around sunrise or sunset and alpenglow.”

743 Days (NOT that I was counting 🤪).

This was my longest escrow to date, and I want to thank my buyers John & Miren for their patience and flexibility during these last 2 years.

We experienced new construction challenges, including supply chain disruptions, staff shortages, and County red tape.

But here we are, at the finish line!
