Joyce Wright Funk, affectionately known as Joy

Originally licensed in California in 1989 she brings with her years of experience selling residential homes, condos and land, while working with both sellers and buyers. Joy was born in Cleveland, Ohio and moved with her family to Washington D.C., Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan and then Beverly Hills, CA. She began working as a beauty consultant and then sales representative for Prince Matchabelli where she was able to finely hone her skills in both service and negotiation. Her career in real estate began from an appreciation of wonderful properties and beautiful homes, with an aptitude for personal interactions with people. Joy learned early that real estate also requires diligence, commitment and attention to detail. Another strength is understanding a property's unique merits combined with the characteristics found in our different communities. She is also a mother of two, Joshua and Luke. Joshua was born severely handicapped, passing gracefully at the age of eighteen after bringing much joy and love into their lives. To her great joy, Luke and his wife Michelle gifted Joy and husband Scott Funk with 2 beautiful granddaughters, Mai and Aria. Mornings you can find Joy practicing yoga, hiking a beautiful Kauai trail, or in the ocean paddling out to the waves!
