So, for the people that want to contract their own jobs, I would say, Good luck! But be careful! Even professionals miss things and get things wrong. That's what the general contractor is for. I'm doing a Design/drawing job for an addition for someone and I just received their Plat of Survey. (They had one form when the bought the house). As I was looking at it, I noticed that something didn't seem right? As a stickler for the codes, I had already looked up the property and checked out the zoning, village requirements, etc.. Sure enough, the Plat was wrong. The setbacks were marked incorrectly. Everyone makes mistakes, but the more professionals are involved in a project, helps prevent headaches down the road, when it's now a major issue.

I've been working on a custom home design for a few weeks now and wanted to give you a sneak peek! It's not finished, (Still working on interior & exterior details) of course in this level, there's always something to customize. What do you think? It's roughly 8500 sq ft (not counting the basement) of stone & stucco, 10' 1st floor & basement ceilings (not counting the volume & vaulted ones), 6+ car garage with motor court yard, 1st floor cold wine storage, future elevator, His & Hers baths in the Primary Bedroom with vaulted ceilings, truss beams and Regular beams in flat areas along with coffered ceilings in kitchen & Private office. Too much to list. I would recommend a 3+acre lot as the house is over 175' wide! Will customize for the interested client!

Been working on another design. Modern Farmhouse! 4 bed, 3.5 bath, 3car, full basement. 9' ceilings 1st fl. Chef style kitchen w/Larger island and lighted display cabinets. 1.5 story, vaulted ceiling family room w/beams. Still in the details phase. We build/design for you!
