Headed over the bridge to Roanoke Island today and cruised through historic downtown Manteo.
The Pioneer Theater, the 1904 weather tower, the waterfront shops, and the Roanoke Marshes screw pile lighthouse.This town is built on real coastal history, and it still feels like the Outer Banks. Took a drive down to Rodanthe for a property review and made a quick stop to check out the Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station. This place is incredible. You can walk right through the original 1874 and 1911 station houses and stand next to Surfboat No. 1046—the actual wooden boat Captain John Allen Midgett and his crew rowed straight into a burning Atlantic during World War I to pull off the legendary Mirlo rescue. Looking at the craftsmanship of that boat and the sheer history of the surfmen who ran these beaches completely resets your perspective. Preserving history and navigating our high-stakes coastal real estate market require similar traits: deep street-level experience, relentless ex*****on, and knowing how to handle the elements. Dropped down to Nags Head today to check out a property and took a quick detour through Old Nags Head Cove to grab some footage.
This neighborhood is incredibly unique. It is one of the only subdivisions on the island that features true, deep-water canals giving boaters a direct route straight out into the Sound.
The community infrastructure here is massive—you've got a private boat ramp, soundside beach access, a full playground, pickleball courts, and a gorgeous soundfront pool and clubhouse.
