Market Value can be affected by market price. Market price is what a buyer is willing to pay for a home, the value is based off recent sales in a neighborhood or area. If you closed on your home in 2022 and haven't yet filed any tax exemptions that you may be eligible for, (homestead exemption, disabled veteran, surviving spouse of a disabled veteran or first responder, etc) NOW IS THE TIME! The deadline is April 30th. You can apply for most of them online within a matter of minutes! Go save yourself some money on your property taxes!

If you know of anyone who may need a place to stay warm!

The Moss Rose Community Center in Killeen has now opened as a warming center. Other warming centers are available in Harker Heights, Copperas Cove, and Lampasas. Each warming center provides minimum services for guests to sit inside, keep out of the cold, and use the restrooms.

Emergency shelters that provide additional services such as beds, showers, medical assistance, food, clothing, etc. are available at the Jesus Hope & Love Mission, Friends in Crisis, and the Salvation Army.

Are you prepared for the winter weather that's rolling in today? If you weren't here for our last freeze almost 2 years ago, all of the worry and panic might seem silly, especially since we are supposed to only getting freezing Temps without any precipitation. BUT, we lost power and water throughout the city and many went without for almost two weeks! Make sure you prepare this time just in case! And if you find yourself in a situation of need, please reach out and ask for help! That's the thing I love about being a Texan the most, we always take care of each other! Stay warm y'all!
