Winter weather is on the way, with chances of snow, freezing rain, and icy roads overnight Monday night into Tuesday morning. See below for additional resources and information:

🧣 Warming Centers (please contact centers directly for more information):
- Salvation Army: Open overnight when temps are 32°F dry/36°F wet. Pets are not allowed.
- Impact Temple: Provides overnight shelter for people and pets when the forecasted felt temperature is 35°F or below. Open from 6 PM to 8 AM on those nights.
- Temple Public Library: Open during business hours for warming.

🏠 Protect Your Pipes:
Wrap exposed outdoor pipes and winterize your irrigation system/backflow assembly.

🚗 Road Conditions:
Please monitor road conditions. Bridges and overpasses can be especially hazardous during winter weather conditions.

January 20, 2025, 7:30 p.m. -- Killeen ISD Parents and Employees, we have been closely monitoring the weather and roads in Central Texas. Out of an abundance of caution, Killeen ISD has made the decision to the district on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

All afterschool activities and athletic events have been canceled. The KISD Board meeting will be rescheduled. Employee pay will not be negatively impacted due to the unplanned weather delay.

We anticipate returning to normal operations on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
