Wow! What a glorious 8 years this Real Estate journey has been! I would never have dreamed of the experiences I would encounter in this industry. I have loved every single minute of it. I have built so many wonderful relationships in this industry from other Fellow Realtors, to clients that have become family, lenders, to those in Title, home inspection, home warranty, the list goes on. I have endured a tremendous amount of growth in my personal & professional life from being a Realtor. I have learned so many things that can not be taught. I have had fabulous mentors & leaders. Jumping into a career blindly & gracefully & not so gracefully some days rose to the occasion. I truly feel like “I have arrived”. I learned my strengths & weaknesses. I embodied confidence in a world of chaos with deals that were sometimes pending ever closing. I have helped people sell their homes. I have helped people buy their first time home, investment properties, find their forever home. To say it has been a pleasure to serve you all in this capacity would be an understatement. This career lit my soul on fire from
Day one! I remember my parents talking and saying “Shilo has finally found her Niche”!!! I remember in a difficult market speaking with a fellow agent. I was saying “well I just don’t know if I will continue to do this & he looks at me & says “Shilo, what?! You were born to be a Realtor it’s who you are! “ it was a great reminder & a much needed one at the time. I was able to see that I could be passionate about something & it did not feel like a job to me. I saw that I could have a career that allowed me to attend all of my kids events, take real vacations & could make real money & have something to be proud of! I finally knew what the phrase meant “find something you love to do & you’ll never have to work a day in your life”. Real Esate, being an entrepreneur the one career that you take on to avoid a time clock & end up working countless hours day & night but love every minute of it.
