We’re expecting freezing temperatures this weekend, so we wanted to share a quick reminder to help protect your home from frozen/burst pipes and other damage.
✅ Please do the following before temperatures drop:
• Cover exterior faucets/spigots with a foam cover (or towel + plastic bag).
• Disconnect and drain hoses from outdoor faucets.
• Drip faucets (hot and cold) — especially those on exterior walls.
• Open cabinet doors under sinks to allow warm air to circulate.
• Set thermostat to 68° or higher and keep heat ON overnight (even if you’re away).
• If your home has a sprinkler system: turn it off and drain/cover backflow device if applicable.
• Know where your main water shut-off valve is located, just in case.
🚨 If you notice a leak, no water flow, or signs of a frozen pipe:
• Contact us immediately and submit a maintenance request.
• If it’s an emergency (active flooding), shut off the water right away and call emergency services if needed.
