What you don’t see is what matters most — especially this close to the water.

We’re making progress on the Gray Construction build on Bancroft Ave on The Point, and before the floors go on, I wanted to show this stage because it’s one most buyers never get to see… but it’s one of the most important.

When you’re building this close to the Potomac River and Monroe Bay, how a home is built below the surface really matters.

Here’s what I love about how this one is being done:

• Built up, not down
Because we’re right at the water table on The Point, this home isn’t under-dug. It’s built up — which helps with long-term stability and moisture control.

• Oversized footers

Tonight was one of those “real life behind real estate” moments…

I had every intention of getting home early and making a nice dinner for my family. On the way home, I got a call for a listing appointment that couldn’t wait—so I said yes (because that’s what we do).

I came home, cooked a full meal—lemon pasta, chicken cutlets, Caesar salad… the whole thing.

…and walked into this. Everyone asleep. 🥹

No big dinner moment. No conversation around the table. Just quiet.

But here’s the thing—this is the balance.
The behind-the-scenes of building a business, serving clients, and loving your family at the same time.

Some nights look picture perfect… and some look like this.
