On Wednesday, July 23rd, our Monmouth Woods community was impacted by a Fire. At this time, 6 families are impacted by this unfortunate event. We remain in direct contact with the impacted residents, American Red Cross and King George Social Services to ensure the impacted families have as many resources and support as possible during this difficult time.
In the aftermath of the recent fire that impacted these six families, we’re grateful for the generous support being offered. If you or your organization would like to assist, we encourage you to contact us directly at 540-775-0209 to confirm the list of impacted residents. This helps ensure that your kindness reaches those who truly need it.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the numerous agencies that responded on Wednesday. First responders included : King George County (Va) Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services, Naval District Base Dahlgren Truck 28, Colonial Beach Volunteer Fire Department, Westmoreland County Fire Department & Rescue, La Plata Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., Stafford County Fire and Rescue, Newburg Maryland Fire Department and American Red Cross. We would also like to thank Food Lion, Dahlgren for the quick response to donate cases of water, Jersey Mike's Subs, Dahlgren for bringing food for the impacted families, Five Guys, Dahlgren for food, Domino's Pizza, Dahlgren for donation of gift cards and Walmart, Dahlgren for donating gift cards. The outpouring of support for the impacted families has been incredible.
