With heavy rain and strong winds expected, a little preparation can bring peace of mind:
✅ Secure patio furniture, umbrellas, planters and trash cans and recyclables.
✅ Clear leaves from gutters and nearby drains before the wind picks up.
✅ Check windows, doors and basement openings.
✅ Keep your phone charged, flashlights handy and bottled water on hand.
✅ Pick up any prescription refills you may need in case roads flood.
✅ Have extra blankets ready and, if you have a working fireplace, firewood on hand in case the power goes out and temperatures drop.

🏡 Nobody talks about this part of being a Realtor...
Driving away from settlement a little sad because I’m going to miss my clients. ❤️
We spend weeks, sometimes months, talking, texting, solving problems, laughing, stressing a little 😬 and working toward one big goal.
Then settlement day comes. We celebrate, take the pictures, hand over the keys...and suddenly it’s over.
I’m thrilled for their next chapter, but I’d be lying if I said I don’t miss some of my clients when it’s all done.
Of course we’ll keep in touch, just maybe not three times a day anymore. 😂
So if you see me driving away from settlement looking a little emotional, give me a few minutes and a good song on the radio. I’ll be fine. 🎶❤️
