Thanks to the generosity of the Northeast Tennessee Association of Realtors (NETAR), everyone has FREE admission to Bays Mountain Park on August 16!

If you’ve never been to Bays Mountain Park or are looking for something fun to do outdoors, then take advantage of NETAR’s generosity and come out and enjoy the park next week.

Bays Mountain Park will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on August 16, while the nature center will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Go for a leisurely walk around the lake, take a short hike up the mountain, visit with the animals or let your children or grandchildren play on the new Fox Den playground. Be sure to check out the recently renovated gift shop and the new educational displays and dioramas in the Nature Center. Remember, there’s no wrong way to spend time at Bays Mountain Park.

NOTE – While gate fees will be waived all day on August 16, program fees (planetarium shows, barge rides) will still be in effect, and guests will have to pay those fees to participate.

Share an experience with friends and family by paddling the lake at sunset. Set float and spend time on the serene water as the songbirds settle in the sounds of the evening.

Guest are required to bring their own canoe/kayak/s.u.p. along with a Type III PFD (personal floatation device) vest style. Guests can unload watercrafts near the upper portion of the dam. Pre-registration is required. The cost is $10 per person for non-members. Members will receive a 50% discount.

During Fiscal Year 2024–2025, an incredible 2,354,492 people visited the park to hike, paddle, camp, golf, fish, attend nature programs, and make lasting memories. That’s more than 2.35 million reasons to celebrate this special place we’re proud to support!
