For 40 years, our work has been guided by the belief that creating solid, sustainable housing opportunities for people at all income levels leads to greater business and economic development and stronger and safer communities. Each year, we help thousands of local families, seniors, individuals with special needs, veterans, and homeless people acquire safe, healthy, and affordable homes. We manage 643 quality affordable apartments across 23 properties. We also administer the Housing Choice Voucher program for Ulster and Greene Counties, and can assist with access to emergency funding for a security deposits and rental assistance. Wondering if homeownership is an option for you and your family? RUPCO’s NeighborWorks® HomeOwnership Center has a wealth of information and resources to guide you through the process. We’re here to help you successfully purchase your first home and make repairs. We also provide foreclosure prevention counseling, education, and support for households facing financial hardship. Tomorrow evening, RUPCO CEO Kevin O'Connor will join director Kev Bewersdorf for a Q&A and community conversation following a screening of Bewersdorf's documentary, New Kingston.

Shot entirely on an iPhone over five years, the film follows Bewersdorf's daily life as a carpenter building and repairing homes in New Kingston, NY, exploring changing neighborhoods and the forces shaping their future.

Join us Wednesday, October 21, at 5:15pm at Upstate Films' Midtown location, 591 Broadway in Kingston, for a screening and conversation about affordable housing, housing stability, neighborhood change, and the future of our communities.

RUPCO is now accepting applications for up to $2,500 in one-time assistance for past-due rent, paid directly to your landlord.

Reading + Community + Creativity = Exploring Pages Silent Book Club! 📚

Exploring Pages is a community book club dedicated to bringing people together through reading, creativity, and meaningful connections. The goal is to create welcoming spaces where individuals of all backgrounds can unplug from their busy lives, discover new books, build friendships, and enjoy enriching experiences together.

All Exploring Pages events include silent reading sessions, book exchanges, creative crafts, and light refreshments. We were honored to host the inaugural event at RUPCO's Landmark Place East property, where residents and community members joined together to read, connect, and create. Shout out to Natasha, founder of Exploring Pages and Landmark Place's beloved Resident Coordinator, for inviting us to support this exciting new program! 💚

Earlier this month, we had the privilege of hosting members of the Ulster County Government Legislature for a tour of Willow Landing, RUPCO's redevelopment of the former Quality Inn in the Town of Ulster. Thank you to Debra Clinton, Eric Stewart, Amy Dooley, and Jeff Collins for taking the time to visit us and see our team's hard work almost finished!
