Today I had the chance to hand the keys over to some very close friends as they start the next chapter in their new home. Helping people you genuinely care about is one of the most rewarding parts of this job.

To celebrate, I gave them a bottle of “Skin on Skin” wine made by another friend over Malou Despoux . I love when moments like this bring together local businesses, friendships, and new beginnings.

So many different slices of history and styles in this one barn! 1887 is the furthest map we can find with it still on it but probably even older. You can See the old framing timbers and then early 1900s framing mixed throughout with old plaster and lathe walls. Another witches crook chimney (see previous post) and even wallpaper that probably came into play decades later. More modern structural ties and a metal roof have kept this gem alive but daydreaming about what to do with it now. Any ideas ?
