Over the last month, the number of single-family homes for sale on Boston's South Shore has jumped 43%, from 552 to 791.

What does that mean for buyers and sellers? Even with that huge increase in inventory, we are a LONG way from what we would call a "balanced" market. Right now, we have about a two-month supply of homes for sale, which is still considered a strong seller's market.
