I just had one of the most unprofessional interactions I’ve experienced in real estate. 🙄

It reminded me that professionalism isn’t just about selling houses… it’s about how you treat people.

A few friendly reminders for anyone in business:

📞 If your voicemail is full, you’ve already made it harder for another professional—and ultimately your client—to do business with you.

📱 If someone sends you a text asking a simple question, remember this: text messages don’t have emotion. Before deciding someone is being rude, hostile, or combative, maybe consider that you’re reading your own emotion into black-and-white words.

🤝 And please… let’s retire calling other professionals “dear,” “sweetie,” or “honey.” It’s not respectful. We all worked hard for our licenses. Address people the same way you’d want to be addressed.

Real estate is stressful enough. We don’t need to create conflict where none exists.

My job is to advocate for my clients, communicate clearly, and work professionally with everyone involved—even when we disagree. If a conversation becomes disrespectful, I’ll simply end it and move on. My clients deserve that.

One last free business tip…

Empty your voicemail. Lose the condescending nicknames. And remember that text messages don’t come with facial expressions. You’ll probably close more deals.

Respect is free. Professionalism is a choice. Every interaction is a reflection of your brand.

Ps : If your voicemail is full, your attitude is fuller, and every sentence starts with “Yes, dear…”… we probably aren’t going to be doing business together. 😂
