Hire an inspector with 25 years of experience instead of one with 5 years of experience. After reviewing a recent report written by this newly licensed inspector, I noticed several errors and obvious flaws that he overlooked. Including not reporting a staircase that requires a handrail, quoting incorrect measurements for a staircase tread and rise, reporting that the heating system was 43 years old and should be replaced, when it was actually only 15 years old with plenty of life expectancy left.
