That's why I encourage buyers to get their financing in place before they start shopping. Knowing your budget, understanding your options, and having a complete pre-approval allows you to move confidently when the right home comes along.

In today's market, that's not always the case.

Depending on the purchase price, some homes in Edmonds can require jumbo financing simply because of local home values. The good news is that jumbo loans have evolved, and many buyers are surprised by the options available.

There's a reason so many people fall in love with Edmonds. Between the waterfront, the walkable downtown, and the neighborhood charm, it's easy to picture yourself living here.

What many buyers don't realize is that buying in a waterfront community can come with different financing considerations. Insurance costs, property location, condo guidelines, and loan limits can all play a role depending on the home.

Summer has a way of making people fall in love with Edmonds.

Maybe it's a walk along the waterfront, an afternoon at Marina Beach Park, dinner downtown, or simply watching the ferry come and go. Before long, it's easy to find yourself thinking, "I'd love to live here."
