Still waiting for mortgage rates to drop back to 2% or 3% before making a move?

Here is the reality: that era was a historical exception, not the standard.
When you zoom out over the last 50 years, the numbers tell a very different story:
✅The 1980s Spike: Rates peaked as high as 16.63%.
✅The Recent Anomaly: The ultra-low 2–3% rates were unique situational events brought on by specific economic conditions.
✅Where We Stand Now: Current rates sit around 6.50%, with projections holding near 6.60%—firmly in line with long-term historical norms.

Waiting on the sidelines for unicorn rates often means missing out on building equity today, especially as Central Florida property values continue to grow. Date the rate, marry the home—you can always refinance down the road, but you can’t turn back the clock on purchase price.
