The Academy is a 150‑year‑old treasure, and like any historic building, it’s a constant work in progress. Maintenance needs never stop, and funding is always a challenge — but our community continues to step up.

A huge thank‑you to Jacob Dobbins of ADE Maintenance (in Raysville) for donating a lift so workers could safely patch the holes left by recent severe weather. Your generosity made a real difference.

Much work still lies ahead, especially on the turrets where missing slate and flashing still need attention. Caring for this landmark is a marathon, not a sprint — and we’re grateful for everyone who helps keep this Knightstown gem standing strong.

The Easter Egg Hunt will be held TOMORROW RAIN OR SHINE! Lots of eggs and prizes. If it is raining too hard to begin at 1 p.m., we will begin as soon as the rain slows down to a drizzle. If the rain persists, the hunt will close at 3 p.m. and no hunt will be held.

Special thanks to TOM TRUE who created the new Academy Star which shines on top of the Academy. The star is a replica of the original, which is displayed at the Knightstown Historic Museum. The star has become an iconic emblem for Knightstown residents.
