Fiberglass insulation is NOT air sealing.

If you add insulation but leave air leaks around attic penetrations, recessed lights, plumbing stacks, wiring holes, top plates, and access hatches, you may be doing little more than installing a big air filter on top of your house.
Air will still find its way in and out—bringing heat, humidity, dust, allergens, and higher energy bills along with it.
The right order matters:
1. Air-seal first
2. Add or upgrade insulation
3. Improve comfort, efficiency, and indoor air quality
Don’t just add more insulation—make sure your home is sealed correctly so the insulation can actually do its job.
