We get a lot of calls from people who expect a survey to cost $500 and include a drawing. Next time I'm just going to direct their attention to these photos and say, it cost a lot to ask a grown man to climb on his hands and knees up the side of the mountain to find the corner.

Even in Hawaii, hiring a land surveyor is the best money any project could spend. It's never a good idea to invest large sums of money into property improvements without knowing the boundaries of the property.

Anger, accusations, and legal action are firing up after a construction company built a half-million-dollar house on the wrong lot.

I get it. When there us nothing else left in your pocket, use your marker. But don't send the marker point as a control point for the job. It was a good walk to come up with an unusable point.
